SUMMARY:(Online) Workplace Learning Rep
DESCRIPTION:Learning in the workplace is an important issue for our members professionalism. Our workplace learning representatives are accredited union reps and there to support members with their professional and personal learning\, listening to members concerns\, promoting CPD opportunities and working with management to improve access and quality of current provision. \nThis online workshop is designed to be a basic introduction to the role of the workplace learning rep. \nIt will: \n\n         Explore the role of the workplace learning rep and what you may get involved in\n         Develop a trade union approach to learning and recognise sources of support\n         Look at some of the legal rights workplace learning reps have\n         Explore how to involve members in learning and CPD\n         Using learning to organise\n\nThere are many benefits to becoming more involved in the NEU and being a workplace learning rep offers the opportunity to use the learning agenda to build and strengthen NEU organisation\, reach out to non-members and support union policy and campaigns. \nThis online workshop is suitable for all new workplace learning representatives. \nSign up here: https://events.neu.org.uk/event?topic=OFF&id=CPDULRUK260324#MEMBER.EVENT.INTRO
